[Methodology] updated on Jun/25/2009 (Thu) 22:16
frame version (Recommended) non-frame version
Remarks on methodology in generative grammar, philosophy of science, etc.
[Generalizations] updated on Jun/25/2009 (Thu) 22:16
frame version (Recommended) non-frame version
Remarks on empirical generalizations. It is intended that the discussion here does not require a technical understanding of generative grammar, but it requires instead a minimal understanding of (what seems to me to be the most crucial aspect of) what counts as data in generative grammar as discussed in the Methodology Board.
[Further Discussion] updated on Dec/04/2009 (Fri) 18:44
frame version (Recommended) non-frame version
Remarks here tend to go beyond the level of empirical generalizations in the Generalization Board, make reference to some specific papers/works/etc., and it may also require some familiarity with the works cited there.
